Series of Mental Skills Workshops for Competitive Players
o This workshop will introduce young athletes to a formula for success by
identifying limiting beliefs and managing expectations. As well we will
discuss comfort zones and how these affect individual performance.
o This workshop will introduce the concept of different types of
concentration and how to improve these. As well as the 3Rs of refocusing
will be discussed.
o This workshop will introduce the difference between a training and
trusting mindset, when to apply these mindsets and how to handle key
breakdowns in a trusting mindset. As well discussion will occur in regard
to pro-active and reactive self-confidence.
o This workshop will introduce concepts related to emotional control such
as the inverted U-hypothesis. As well we will discuss signs of under and
over emotional-arousal. Tools will be discussed to provide strategies
athletes can use to maintain emotional control.
